Homecare For You are able to offer a wide range of high quality, person centred services to people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and learning disabilities as well as those with profound and complex needs. Within it’s senior management team, Homecare For You has extensive experience of learning disabilities, Autism and Aspergers syndrome. One of our managers has worked in Autism specific services for over 15 years, including 9 years experience specifically with Aspergers syndrome. Through this extensive knowledge and experience of Autism Spectrum Conditions, Homecare For You is able to offer it’s service users’ with ASC carefully tailored support to meet their specific needs.
Homecare For You believes that everyone has the ability to learn new skills and achieve improved levels of independence and self-esteem. The services that we provide are all developed with this in mind and put the service user at the centre of all service planning. The ethos in our services is very much one of enablement/reablement. Wherever possible and appropriate, staff will endeavour to support service users to do something for themselves rather than doing it for them. Our support staff work with the service users to help them develop the confidence and skills necessary for increased independence around daily living. All support is provided in order to meet an identified need and produce measurable outcomes for the individual. Homecare for you is very conscious of the need for targeted support in order to promote independence whilst also avoiding the possibility of de-skilling the individuals we support.
All of our services and support packages are tailored to the needs of the individual through working closely with them, their families and other involved parties. We are able to provide both outreach and home support services to individuals with Autism, learning disabilities, and associated conditions such as mental health, within the Blackburn and Rochdale areas. We can provide supported living services for people who have the necessary skills, abilities or potential to be semi independent but need staff support to fulfil their full potential and enable them to maintain their own housing provision.
Service provision is always flexible in order to meet the needs and wishes of the individual. A priority for our staff teams is ensuring high levels of health and wellbeing for all the people that use our services. Homecare For You is a specialist in providing culturally appropriate care services and prides itself on the ability to tailor services to each individual. All staff undergo frequent and extensive training, this training includes the principles of ‘the dignity challenge’ as well as ensuring that staff understand, appreciate and value cultural diversity.
